The innovative DAGUA drinking water treatment technology and equipment combines ozonation with a strong oxidation and ultrafitration membranes with oxidation resistance, and offers a chemical-free operation with a reject water stream that can be reintroduced into the environment without additional treatment. Ultrafiltration membranes operate continuously owing to an innovative backwashing process that uses air, water and microbubbles to prevent membrane fouling, contributing to the continuous cleaning of membranes. The microbubbles are generated as the water passes through the membranes and continuously clean the membrane capillaries by several physical and chemical mechanisms. This process produces no chemical waste and the reject water from the backwashing process can be discharged into the environment. Compared with the present processing technologies of water plant at home and abroad, the components of the DAGUA treatment system covers an area of only 20% to 30%, the investment is only 85% to 95%. In addition, this technology saves 60% to 75% operating expenses. The intelligent operation of the treatment plant requires only one person, and can be controlled remotely by the Internet. The complete set of equipment of the plant can be laid out in one workshop. The equipment room is installed above ground, while the water tank can be installed underground. Compared with the present advanced processing technologies of water plant at home and abroad, the components of the DAGUA treatment system covers an area of only 40%, the investment is only 60%. In addition, this technology saves 40% operating expenses. For small water volumes, the treatment system can be installed on a mobile unit, which highlights the capacity of this technology for emergency. The technology uses compressed air or liquid oxygen for the generation of ozone. Electricity is needed for the operation of the treatment system. The treated water quality is superior to national drinking water standards. Small projects can be realized by using modular equipment. The DAGUA technology effectively removes turbidity, suspended solids, TOC, alga, odor, Escherichia coli, trace organic matter, phosphorus, nitrogen, trace COD and BOD, iron, manganese, cyanide, pesticide residue and other pollutants. It retains beneficial Mg, Ca and other minerals and maintains a neutral pH value. The treated water quality is up to and superior to the national drinking water standard. Ozone is a natural gas generated by exposing oxygen to an electric field. It is a powerful oxidant for water purification, elimination of pathogens and viruses and removal of iron and manganese. It can clarify color and remove smell from the water. Ozone analyzer (ozone monitoring, alarms) can be safely operated on site to automatically adjust the quantity of ozone in the reaction tank based on the quality of raw water. Ozone is also included in the microbubbles to clean (with no chemicals) the ultrafiltration membranes (with strong oxidation resistance) and to prevent scaling. The production of microbubbles and the continuous membrane cleaning process prevent membrane fouling. This process eliminates high frequency back-washing using abrasive chemicals. The innovative backwashing process supports long term operation of membranes and prevents the production of metallic sludge. The DAGUA plants are fully automated and can be remotely monitored through the Internet.

a. The directors of this company along with the directors and experts in the team of Canada DAGUA Technologies Inc. visited the Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Renmin University of China, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences and China’s center for disease control in several occasions. They had very fruitful conversations and exchanged views with professors and experts at these organizations, and evaluated the application of this technology in China.
Institute, Design Institute of Tsinghua University, Design Iinstitue of Tongji University, North China Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute. We held a technology certification conference with relevant senior engineers and experts in these organizations, and analyzed the feasibility of the DAGUA technology according to Chinese engineering design standard.
c. We have hired experts in the Chinese water industry to analyze the prospects of this technology for application in China.
